  2. LOVE "Baby Hal" what a dolly..and your namesake (is that correct??) is a very pretty young woman..you are blessed indeed!
You must be busy reading and watching those netflix movies, hm? You inspire me to do more of that..but until my new glasses arrive, it will be difficult...I am SO hoping I will be able to see better. Hope you post a review or 2 on what you are reading and watching as of late.

  3. What did you order at Mama's Fish House? Was it good? I cooked striped bass tonight for dinner. Kevin caught a 20+ pounder a few weeks ago and we cleaned and froze some of it. I guess it was Katie's Fish House tonight. LOL

Anna is, indeed, very pretty and Baby Hal is just a doll! :)

Mare, the price of glasses has sure gone up in the past 2 or 3 years! I had to get new ones a year ago -- frames and all. Yikes! I even bought a pair of backups because I am legally blind without my glasses. I am far-sighted though so I can see up close better without my glasses than with them. I hope yours arrive soon and do wonders for you! Annie? Granny? Do you wear glasses?

  4. Thanks Katie, I have one far sighted and one near sighted eye and off the chart astigmatism in one eye, etc etc..so is a challenge to say the least! I put off buying them longer than I should have...Wanted to go to a "buy one get one" place, but hubby had a "i'm the boss moment" (really, he was just concerned that I get an absolutely CORRECT pair with someone close who would back it up if the new Rx doesn't work."

  5. Hi Katie and Mare and Granny -

Katie that was my son who was in Maui with his two older boys, college sophomore and HS senior, they go every year it's the boys trip. Don't know what they ordered for dinner but everything a Mama Fish House is the best.

Thanks on Baby Haleighana comments, I call her Hal and her Mom calls her squish, go figure. Yes her Mom, Anna, was named after me, I saw her everyday of her life her first two years, then I moved to St. Louis I was so sad to leave her. But she would come and visit me every summer and I always looked forward to it. She's back in St. Louis with the baby but now sure if this will be permanent or just for a couple of months.

Yes glasses are so expensive, I just replaced the lens in my old frame and it was several hundred dollars. I will try and get up a new post today. Lot's of distractions here US Open tennis and reading.....

Yes I wear glasses, sometimes contacts when I would play tennis or go out in the evening, but I like glasses. I wanted them so bad in my teen years the eye doctor was about to prescribe clear lens telling my mom I would get over it. I thought they made me look smarter.

  6. GLASSES, YES. TWO PAIR. I NEED NEW ONES BUT JUST GETTING THERE IS NOT ON MY TO DO LIST. IT'S BEEN A COUPLE YEARS AND WHEN YOU HAVE DIABETIES THEY SAY IT'S A MUST TO GET A YEARLY EXAMS. I SAY BOO HISS. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$... I'M SO SICK OF MAKING THEM ALL RICH FOR SOMETHING THEY OVERCHARGE ON. JUST DON'T GET ME GOING ON THIS ONE. I HATE CROOKS OF ALL KINDS.I'D LIKE TO KNOW WHY A PAIR OF FRAMES SHOULD COST HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS. EVEN THE LENS. MY BROTHER WORKED FOR ONE OF THE COMPANIES IN UPSTATE N.Y.. HE MADE THE LENS AND BELIEVE ME THEY ARE WAY OVERPRICE. LETS BLAME IT ON BUSH. LOL
