I have unanswered questions.
Five months ago I wrote a letter to my U.S. Senator Claire McCaskill because I was concerned about the status of the sailors aboard the USS Ronald Reagan. You probably haven't heard much about this on your local television or even local papers. It has become another one of those Fukushima stories that doesn't get talked about.
I still have not heard from Senator McCaskill or even an aide. Maybe my letter got lost in the US Mail system. But I thought I would share it with you here:

Subject: Sailors of USS Ronald Reagan – Health Status
Dear Senator McCaskill,
I received your email recently where your wrote, “Keeping faith with the men and women who've
served in uniform is an important part of my job as a U.S. Senator, and
something I take personally.”
It made me think that perhaps you are the very person that
can answer my question and allay my concerns over the aftermath of Fukushima
and our sailors aboard the USS Ronald Reagan.
I have been following this story almost since day one but what
bothers me is the information I get almost always comes through foreign news
sources. The incident never seems to make it to our American televisions or newspapers.
The latest story I read was earlier this month in Spiegel

Do you know why this story is not being reported here, why
has no one in Congress mentioned this incident, why military advocates are
quiet on this subject?
The USS Reagan was sent on a humanitarian mission not one of
war. I hope we don’t let this incident fall
through the cracks and forget about these brave sailors.
