Deep In The Heart Of Texas - A Sunday Prayer Meeting on Saturday

I'm sorry Gov. Perry but God can't run for president in these United States. If you need him to be your co-pilot (not Vice President) I can't deny you that choice, but God can never, ever occupy the Oval Office. That's just how we do things here.

The religious right in what ever body they are occupying , at the moment it's a thinly veiled Tea Party/Republican form, keeps pushing the envelope on this god thing. Almost like it was a constitutional necessity that we believe in Christianism. Followers of Islam are booted out of cities like plague invested rats, and if you dare to not clothe yourself in the robe of Jesus then you might as well call yourself a Satanist.

If Governor Perry's "The Response: A call to prayer for a nation in crisis" had been a group event of Muslims the outcry would have been enormous.

  1. Perry is just vile! He's the worst of them all, IMHO. I hope he doesn't have a prayer of winning the nomination. GWB 2.0 or is it 3.0 (only worse)?

  2. AND, I'm so sick of the religious right I can barely stand to hear another word from them!
