It's Friday night, let's get to work!
For a few weeks we have been anticipating the arrival of "our" model car, a little assembly project that was going to be fun for Nicko and Gammie alike. It's not always as easy as it seems, schedule-wise, grand-kids have very busy schedules these days. Next thing you know they will have to have social secretaries... but I digress.
Open and Organize!
First job was to carefully open up all the little packages and make sure everything was there. My job at this point was to over-see the opening and to make a mug of nice hot chocolate. You can't assemble a Ferrari without a little oomph in your own tank first.

Congratulations to Nikko. Did he do that in one sitting? That's impressive. I think it used to take me days to do this. But of course, I never had a grandmother pump me full of cookies and hot chocolate beforehand. Sounds like a great evening (and I wish my relatives would have some more kids).

ReplyDeleteGRAND SONS ARE SPECIAL. FOR SOME REASON THEY LOVE US GRANNIES. I'VE BEEN BUYING HESS TRUCKS, CARS,OR PLANES EVERY YEAR FOR MINE. THE HESS CARS ETC ONLY COME OUT AT CHRISTMAS. I'VE BEEN DOING IT FOR 15 YEARS. THEY'RE VERY SPECIAL COLLECTABLES. THEY'RE ONLY SOLD AT HESS GAS STATIONS. USUALLY GRAMPS WOULD GET UP AT FIVE IN THE MORNING TO GET THEM FOR THE BOYS. HE DIDN'T WANT TO MISS OUT. IT'S A GREAT THING THAT THE BOYS WILL ALWAY REMEMBER ABOUT THEIR GRANDMA AND GRANDFATHER.

How fortunate Nicko is to have such a great grandma - I agree with Granny, this will be a memory he will cherish as he gets older.
ReplyDeleteFerrari's are one of the few cars that I would buy in red. Generally speaking, I tend to prefer red in other aspects of my life more!
looks like an awesome evening, very familiar to me in a way, as I used to do projects with Hoohoo like this on a Friday night. I agree, he'll remember it forever.
