Curse?

Byrd at Fenway Saturday Night

If it's not a curse it certainly is the worst damn luck you could ever imagine. The Cubs first visit to Boston in over ninety years... for Byrd he probably wouldn't have minded making it 100 years.

  1. Horrible news. His face must be shattered. Poor guy. I like him, too. I hope he's okay soon and that it doesn't make him fearful in the batter's box. That's a tough one to get over psychologically, or so I hear.

  4. Hey Granny and ish - Everything is fine here. Yesterday our power was knocked out for about seven hours. I'm in the process of trying to get stuff up and working that got "wacked" in the abrupt shut down.

Joplin in the southwestern part of the state was badly hit, on the news last night it looked like a bomb went off.

In the realm of things I shouldn't grumble about being with power for such a short time - but alas I did. Why are we like that???

Thanks for your concern, I really appreciate knowing you are out there and care. I will be making my blog-rounds shortly.

Send prayers/dollars/help to the citizens of Joplin... they really need it.

  7. I read where Blogger was having some log-in problems and they are working on a solution. My only problem was with my desk top (which was turned on during the power failure), my lap top seems to be working fine.
