Annie, "Your" business card absolutely cracked me up! I can't decide if I give top marks to "Director of Blood Bank Services" or "Give Blood Naturally" Really to funny. Is that you greeting "dinner" guests or is it Halloween ?
AND MY CRACK JUST GOT BIGGER. ANNIE, YOUR WAY TO FUNNY.IN MY YOUNGER YEARS MY CHURCH WAS HAVING A HALLOWEEN PARTY FOR THE TEENAGERS AT NIGHT IN OUR FELLOWSHIP HALL. ANYWAYS, I DECIDED TO GET DRESSED UP AS AN OLD MAN AND POP IN AND JUST SAY NOTHING TO ANYONE. WHICH I DID. I WAS THERE FOR ABOUT A HALF HOUR AND EVERYONE KEPT TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHO I WAS AS I DIDN'T SAY A WORD. THEY WERE BEGINNING TO GET FREAKED OUT AND MY COUSIN, ONE OF THE CHAPERONES CAME UP TO ME AND SAID, I HAD TO LEAVE THE PARTY. I STILL SAID NOTHING. THEN A COUPLE OF OTHERS CAME OVER AND TOOK ME BY THE ARM AND DIRECTED ME TO THE DOOR AND OUTSIDE. AT THAT POINT, I COULDN'T HOLD IT IN ANY LONGER I JUST STARTED TO LAUGH OUT LOUD. WE ALL JUST STOOD THERE LAUGHING LIKE FOOLS. I DID SUCH A GOOD JOB ON THE OUTFIT AND ALL THE MAKEUP THAT WITH IT NOONE HAD A CLUE. FOND MEMORIES.BUT I STILL DON'T LIKE HALLOWEEN.THE OLDER KIDS HAVE RUINED IT FOR THE LITTLE ONES.IN FACT I DREAD THE DAY.
"Give blood naturally" is a great line. I can see that being used on True Blood next year. It's right up there with the sign in their opening credits, "God Hates Fangs." I just can't believe that so few people knew who you were. Dark Shadows is a cult hit, or it should be!
Yep! I remember seeing this picture! Hope you take it as a compliment when I say it TOTALLY creeps me out!!! :) Granny, that is GREAT! Would love to have been a little mouse in the corner watching everyone being creeped out by the "old man"! I'm with you, I still hate halloween, but that's me...I can see where you granddaughter would LOVE it Annie, her own special birthday party for the world! :) WAY overslept today...have to get busy...hi X, Hi Casey...
