Ninety years ago today this very special lady was born! She has been my best friend for thirty-eight of those years. When I asked her how she wanted to celebrate this special, one-of-a-kind birthday, her reply was that she wanted to celebrate it on Maui.

So celebrate we did, with her daughter and grandson in attendance and a day that was heavenly perfect, we enjoyed a delicious dinner at Kimo's restaurant that looked out over the Pacific Ocean.

No birthday is complete without a birthday cake but this delicious ice cream concoction is over the top.
As you can see no one liked it at all.
