Monte Carlo, Monaco

A sunny day in Monte Carlo as we docked early this morning. My friends have scattered to the wind to shop and find the burial site of Princess Grace perhaps.  I doubt anyone is going to the casino but perhaps one or two might.

In my usual travel form when I don't have a tour booked; I slept in, 8:30 or so, had juice and coffee delivered to my cabin and slowly woke up and embraced the world. After a shower and the packing of most of my clothes except for tonight's "gala wear" I made my way to the gangplank. This was almost my first view of Monte Carlo.

My eye always seems to travel to shinny objects in the sun. Where else but in this fashionable city would they build stainless steel railings around the boat slips. After I had a look in the window of a yacht broker I can see why they spare no expense to have things look nice.

This elegant yacht almost dwarfs our own luxury yacht.  I saw elegant but smaller yachts for sale ranging from $29,000,000 to $80,000,000, so your guess is as good as mine as to what this little baby would bring.

I will walk slowly back to the ship, perhaps I will find an owner that is in the mood for a chubby old great-grandma to rub his back for him.  ;-) right, that's what most super wealthy men want.

Ok, I have finished my lunch and satisfied my Internet craving for now, so I will walk off my club sandwich and Heinekens.  Bonjour.
