Hi Mare, nice to see you. Things are fine, just chilling and trying to keep calm in this topsy turvy world. Baseball season begins next week, now that is good news.It warmed up too fast, trees are all white with blooms, the scent of new mulch laid is in the air.... and then the cold came again...

IN FACT, I FOUND A GREAT HILLBILLY ARTIST THAT'S A HILLS STYLE ARTIST THAT I JUST LOVE. HIS WIFE HAS A BLOG ALSO. SHE WRITES MAINLY ABOUT THE BACKHILLS LIFE. I LOVE THESE PEOPLE. JUST VERY LOVING. IF I EVER GET TO KENTUCKY I'D LOVE TO MEET HER. SHE SAID, SHE'D LOVE TO MEET ME. HOW FUN. I'LL NEVER GET THERE BUT IT WOULD BE FUN. SHE LOVES MY SENSE OF HUMOR AND MY OUTLOOK ON LIFE. WOULDN'T IT BE FUN TO GO TO THE MALL AND JUST GO UP TO PEOPLE AND ASK THEM FOR A HUG AND SEE THE LOOK ON THEIR FACES?
You don't give yourself enough credit Granny, you are involved in politics, you support gay rights and openly express your feelings on this subject. Politics is not about an affiliation with a certain party, politics is about caring and supporting human rights, whether it is freedom of/from religion, gay rights, rights to assemble, right to healthcare, freedom of speech, the list goes on and on. Forward progress is made, not by agreeing sides talking exclusively to one another but in opposing sides discussing their views and coming up with the best solutions.
I am an Independent and don't look for the R or D after a candidates name but rather what that person believes and stands for and if that person has an open mind.
I attended a Town Hall meeting last Monday night for my state representative. He is a Republican but I found him to be quite fair in presenting both sides of the issues being discussed that night. He sent questionnaires out to the people his district and listens to what the people have to say. Really can you ask for anything more in a representative?
I'm not sure I can buy in to your 'mall hug'....maybe instead a smile for sure, but hugging involves close range exchange of germs. lol lol
I'm really partial to the orange hat, but just don't poke somebody's eye out when you throw it in the ring!!
