Come, meet Rima

More than one way to make beautiful music.

Today I bid homage to a fellow blogger, Rima Staines, who over the past several months has become a stranger-friend (as she puts it) like so many of you who read my own blog on a regular basis. Rima lists her talents as Illustrator, Painter, Maker of Things and Teller of Tales. I was introduced to her when her blog The Hermitage was selected as a Blog of Note.

At that time Rima was living in and traveling the UK countryside in this wonderful wheeled home, a true gypsy wagon, my eyes lit up in delight when I first saw the picture of Rima's home. There was my soul mate not quite half a world away living the life I had dreamed of for myself but never had the courage to take that path which really only required that first step.

Remi's wheeled home

Rima is a very multi-talented person, her art, in all its form is so intriguing and beautiful. I would love to own one of her unique clocks that she designs. But her talent doesn't end there. The words she weaves and lays down on her blog-paper become spellbinding at times. I want to curl up by a warm fireplace and listen to these tales until dawn breaks over the nearby hill.

She brings us to her world through her wonderful photographs, giving us glimpses of the life in which our stranger-friend lives. Rima is too good not to share with you. I hope you will take time to click on her blog, The Hermitage, I know you won't be disappointed. http://intothehermitage.blogspot.com/
