Penn State: Why on earth would people keep quiet?

I'm sure most people know that college sports is big business when it comes to universities, especially their football programs. Penn State for example has the third most profitable football program showing just over a $50 million profit in the 2009-2010 season. The actual football revenue that year was $72.7 million.

So you do the math and you will get an idea of what was at stake since 2002 when the rape of a young boy took place at the hands of a football coach on the Penn State campus.

It's a sad but true story, the morality level of this country can be measured in almost every instance by a profit center. I am surprised that this very basic fact isn't reported on. Everyone at Penn State who knew about this abuse also knew what it would cost the school if the news got out, so there are many pairs of dirty hands here and we shouldn't be shocked, just saddened beyond belief that we let the almighty dollar rule our morality.
