I love the snow as well. It was just spitting light snow when I went out today. Maybe we will get some accumulation over night, not much though.
It's funny the ones that go through all the hoops to become citizens truly appreciate this country. Maybe we should have annual "citizenship" testing. Oh, oh....maybe not.
I grouse because I think the founding fathers got the basics right about freedom of speech, thought, etc. There were and are still some human rights issues that need corrected but at least no one is holding a gun to our heads, we WILL make it all right!
I have a very close Iranian friend who went through the long, grueling process of becoming a citizen. I remember the day she was finally sworn in. She was so excited. And the first time she was able to vote, she was so proud to cast her ballot. It was inspiring.
It's like an advertisement for our country. I kept expecting them to say, "but . . ." They never did. True fans.
