White House Puts Out the Welcome Mat

The long awaited White House tours are open again. Here are a couple of government links if you are thinking about a visit to the DC area.

Tours and Events at the White House

Note of caution: "If you wish to visit the White House and are a citizen of a foreign country, please contact your embassy in Washington, DC for assistance in submitting a tour request." **

White House Tours

Note of caution: "Public tours of the White House are free of charge and can be scheduled through your congressional representative." Best to schedule in advance to avoid disappointment.

**I am not sure of the why, but at the moment visitors from England and other foreign nations are not eligible to take White House tours, despite the WH website noting they should contact their embassy in Washington DC for requests.

But if you are an American the doors are open for the time being.
