"Dahling"

"I want a man who is kind and understanding. Is that too much to ask of a millionaire?

  1. I have a quote a day feature on one of my web pages. The other day on it, Zaa Zaa said, "I've never hated a man enough to give him back his diamonds". LOL

  3. my best friend Andy, who died in 2000, lived in LA for years and years. He went to Zsa Zsa's house once for a job interview to be her personal assistant. She met him at the door at 8am in a negligee, and two cocktails in her hands, screwdrivers. Before she even let him inside, she asked him if he could tell which one was made with cheap vodka and which one was the 'expensive stuff.' she asked the right person, lol, Andy was a vodka drinker. he chose the right drink, and after several more odd 'tests' he could have had the job if he wanted it, but she wanted him to be on call 24/7, carry a pager (before cell phones) and only offered $10 an hour! she told him it was payment enough to work for Zsa Zsa, dahlink! he didn't take the job, but they got drunk together! that had to be around 1982 or '83.

  6. YOU GOT TO LOVE OUR KATIE. MISSPELL ALL YOU WANT. IT MAKES ME FEEL GOOD. LOL
ZSA ZSA ASZ ASZ SAZ SAZ ZAS ZAS, I WAS NEVER INTO HER OR HER SISTERS. AS FOR MONEY PEOPLE, I LOOK UP TO THEM IF THEIR SELF MADE AND DON'T FORGET WHERE THEY COME FROM. I'VE KNOW A FEW IN MY DAY. GOOD AND BAD. BUT WHEN YOUR RICH ON SOMEONE ELSE HARD EARNED CASH THAT'S WHERE I DRAW THE LINE.I WAS NEVER RICH BUT WE WERE COMFORTABLE IN OUR MIDDLE OF THE ROAD LIVING. I CAN REMEMBER BEING AT A VERY SPECIAL FANCY PARTY. PEOPLE WOULD ARRIVE, COME IN THE DOOR AND WALK RIGHT BY ME AS IF I WERE THE HELP. [I ALWAY SPOKE TO THE HELP] NOT ONE HELLO, NOTHING FOR HALF THE NIGHT.I WAS AT MY BOILING POINT WHEN I DECIDED TO WALK UP TO SOME OF THESE SNOBS AND SAY HELLO AND TELL THEM WHO I WAS.YES,YOU GOT IT,A COMPLETE TURN AROUND.PEOPLE THEN WANTED TO SAY HELLO. I MADE MYSELF TO BUSY.I WENT TO THE BACK BEDROOM AND STAYED MOST OF THE NIGHT. I WON'T GO ANY FURTHER THAN THIS IN THIS STORY. SO SAY HELLO TO EVERYONE. YOU MIGHT JUST BE TALKING TO THE HEAD OF STATE SOMEDAY. NO, I'M NOT THE HEAD OD STATE, BUT I'M SOMEBODY. I'M A GRANNY. I MAY NOT BE THE NUMBER ONE GRANNY BUT I'M A GRANNY ALSO. IT WAS ALL A GAME WITH THE SNOBS AT THAT PARTY. IT'S LIKE WHO KNOWS WHO. WHO WAS THE BEST DRESSED AND SO ON.I MAY HAVE BEEN IN A SEARS SPECIAL THAT NIGHT BUT DAMM I LOOKED GOOD AT THE TIME. NOW FORGET IT. I GO TO TV CHURCH IN MY PJ'S.

  7. I've always found people working at parties to be the most interesting people there! I used to have to go to a lot of fancy shindigs when I was in the fashion 'biz' and the only people I ever really enjoyed being around, and became friends with in some cases, were not the invited guests. I was never afraid to walk up to people and introduce myself either, like you did Granny. Now I'm so shy I barely leave my yard. Everything changes.

I have lots of good stories about 'stars.' Andy was a computer programmer at Central Casting in Hollywood during the time I lived there, and we went everywhere and met everyone. I also worked at a clothing store on Santa Monica Blvd in West Hollywood and waited on a lot of famous people there too. Farrah Fawcett had a lobster roll and some salad delivered by her driver to me once after I sold her some sweaters. I told her I'd never be able to eat at places like The Ivy where she said she was going to next, and she actually bought me food 'to go' with a note saying that now I could say I had eaten Ivy food. She was so sweet.
